How to Link Categories[]
- Category links are denoted by two brackets, as with most Fandom links, accompanied by "Category: " and the name of the category. An example can be seen here:

- In Source Mode, once implemented, these links will show up at the bottom of the article's page. In the actual article, it will automatically show up in the order it was written, and count as part of the chosen Categories' directories. However, at times a contributor might not want to add an article to a directory; in that case, preface the link with a semicolon like so:
[[:Category:Pages that Link to Other Wikis]]
How to Edit Category Pages[]
- Category pages can be edited as any other page, but the content of the directory does not change and will immediately be put beneath whatever is written. To get started on a Category page, click the Edit button or the Edit in Source Mode choice when clicking the drop down menu to the right of the Edit button and proceed as you normally would on other articles.
- The directory will always appear as a bulleted and alphabetized list. Articles will only be added to a Category when it is linked and has no prefacing semicolon, so to remove an article from the Category you must get rid of the corresponding link.
Organizing Categories by Article Type[]
Characters[]
- Characters in prominent roles can be sorted by series. If they make notable appearances in the Love Series or the Idol Series, add Category:Love Series characters or Category:Idol Series characters to their page; if they are prominent in both series, feel free to add both categories.
Songs[]
- All songs are placed under the Category:Songs category by default. However, some modifiers may be applied:
- Songs in the franchise are divided into three major groups: songs that are a part of the Love Series, songs that are a part of the Idol Series, and songs that are officially related to either series' content but are not a part of them. If a song is officially listed as part of the Love Series, add the Category:Love Series; likewise add Category:Idol Series if a song is officially listed there as well. For songs that are not a part of CEC but do play a major role, such as most of the ASCANA discography or tangentially related media such as CHiCO with HoneyWorks' "Nostalgic Rainfall", then use the Category:Non-CEC category. These labels are best left as the first tag when categorizing songs.
- Character-specific image songs should go under the category Category:Character Songs. If a song involves a particular character in any major fashion, add Category:Songs involving CHARACTER_NAME.
Animation[]
- Each Animation article is categorized with the general "Animation" label, and the specific medium for the animation should follow (eg. Television Anime receive the Category:Serialized Animation tag, animated films receive the Category:Movies tag, etc.)
Books[]
- The Books category is broken up into three major categories: Category:Light Novels (for Light Novels); Category:Novellas (for literature put into book format but shorter than the average Light Novel, or publicly unavailable books); and Category:Short Stories (for individually published short stories). Art collections should come with an Category:Art Books tag. These should always come after the Category:Books tag when building a prose article.
