"Getsuyoubi no Yūutsu" is a side story in the Idol Series and the third PV to focus on idol Mona Narumi, though the first to be framed from her fanbase's perspective. The song focuses on the background character Kobayashi[1], a fan of mona's that first appeared in the PV for "Watashi, Idol Sengen"[2].
The song originated as a collaboration track between HoneyWorks and Amatsuki, commercially featured on the 2018 studio album Sore wa Kitto de Koi Deshita. The version used for the PV has some slight differences from the album and concert versions.
Synopsis[]
- The song follows a bitter young man, Kobayashi, who is troubled by work and life. He attends one of Mona's concerts for the first time on a whim, and despite going in with a sour attitude, he is immediately charmed by her energy and performance. Over the course of several Monday performances, Kobayashi becomes more infatuated with the idol, even becoming one of her fans and joining a fanclub. Kobayashi is shown to be very appreciative of her for clearing his Monday blues, and later writes a fan letter to her.

- There are a few references to the official singer, Amatsuki, in the PV for this song. The sneakers Kobayashi is seen wearing throughout the video have an emblem that bears resemblance to Amatsuki's brand logo; and the doodle faces seen on the hearts in the video reference Masamune, Amatsuki's sheep mascot. It should be noted that Mikkun, the illustrator for this song's music video, is also Amatsuki's official promotional illustrator.
- Near the end of the video, Kobayashi is seen listening to "Watashi, Idol Sengen", with its digital cover being a still from that song's PV.
- The song shares a naming convention with the rest of the Youbi Series, being named after a weekday. Fans have often wondered if this means the song is a Youbi installment.
