"Konyaku Sensou" is a Confession Executive Committee song, and one of the random opening themes of HoneyWorks Premium Live. The song was digitally released on November 6, 2020 as a preview.
Synopsis[]
- The music video portrays the premise of the song as a play performed by Haruki, Yu, and Sota. In it, an engagement ring from the royal family's line is stolen by a Phantom Thief (Haruki), who is out for a thrill to steal the Princess (Akari). Her father the King (Yu) enlists the help of a Detective (Sota) to find it, but the detective is also in love with the Princess and is secretly hoping to find the ring to prove himself worthy enough to marry her. The King meanwhile is losing his patience with each passing hour and demands that somebody retrieve the ring regardless of marital intent.

- The title of the song came about from discussion after "Tokyo Autumn Session". shito commented that when it came down to one of the boys working up the nerve to propose first, it would likely result in an "engagement war" of frenzy. [1]
- The theme of the song's PV is inspired by HoneyWorks Premium Live. The setting of the game is a concert hall where characters are expected to perform, which this song's PV mirrors by having Haruki, Sota and Yu perform it as one big theater production. [2]
- The line "boku ja dame desu ka?" is a reference to Yakimochi no Kotae.
- The PV for this video is the second Confession Executive Committee song to be illustrated by Ryuusee, the first being Rodeo.
- This song is one of the few songs with all the main Class 3-2 boys singing together instead of coupled off with their respective love interests, as in the Tokyo Session songs.
